Books from the Backlog is a fun way to feature some of those neglected books sitting on your bookshelf unread. If you are anything like me, you might be surprised by some of the unread books hiding in your stacks. Hosted by Carole’s Random Life
This week’s neglected book:

From Goodreads:

A gritty and raw serial killer thriller with hints of the supernatural.
Two years ago, Detective Maribeth Johansen’s family was murdered by the killer she hunted. Maribeth now lives alone in the woods with her grief, the ghosts of her family in her mind.
Her solitude is shattered when a young woman, bearing a striking resemblance to Maribeth’s dead daughter, is murdered and left in the woods for Maribeth to find. The woman’s chest bears the same mark the killer carved into the chests of his victims.
But that killer has been dead for two years.
Is the ghost of a serial killer after her, or is there a new threat hunting her in the woods? An emotionally intense thrill ride!
Why haven’t I read this yet?
Well, I have three bookcases full of books I have not read yet. Plus a growing TBR list on Goodreads. I can read fast but not that fast 😂 As I add books from the backlog I am going to move them up on my TBR list, or to a specific shelf on my bookcase.
What are your thoughts? Have you read anything by this author? Would you or have you read this book?
