My Thoughts
The author made these scenes alive through details since the character was not overly burdened with background information. Few story points did what was expected when making narrative conventions. However, events remained engaging. The ending took an unforeseen twist framed with an epilogue, which crystallized the character in that moment. This was my first read by this author; undoubtedly, it will not be the last.
