Debbie’s freckles reminded me of the time Doug and I painted Matty’s nursery. When I dipped my brush in the can of Blue Bayou, I’d playfully flicked it towards my husband. Specks of paint dotted his arm in a haphazard pattern. Just like Debbie’s freckles. Only Debbie’s spots framed her nose perfectly, giving her a girl-next-door vibe. Her strawberry blonde hair enhanced it. Why hadn’t anyone snatched up that girl?
