A chance encounter with a celebrity, an impromptu video, and a shiny new espresso machine all added up to a juicy tale for Rachael Allen to share with friends. But when her best friend posts the video online without her knowledge, Rachael begins receiving bizarre threats from an obsessed fan. Mick Sullivan, the star in her video, offers to help. Despite his fame and reputation as a player, he tries to stay down to earth. However, Mick has secrets. And there’s one he’s hidden even from himself. Despite wildly divergent life paths, Rachael and Mick’s shared Southern upbringing and passion for good music create a common thread that draws them together. As their relationship deepens and the threats increase, Rachael is forced to decide if being with Mick Sullivan is worth the collateral damage.

Breathing in Reverse is the story of Rachael's serendipitous encounter with a celebrity, her brush with obsessive love, and the bittersweet gift left behind by the very person fixated on destroying her life.

My Thoughts

To: Triple Threat Talent Agency

From: Rachael Allen

Subject: Mick Sullivan

“A few weeks ago, your client, Mick Sullivan, was nice enough to take a video of the two of us in Zabar’s, which a friend of mine posted online without my knowledge. (I have attached the video file below.) Someone is now targeting me because of it. She started out with threatening comments online, then she tracked me down and dropped a threatening note through my mail slot. It has escalated since then. She keyed my car, broke into my parents’ home in New Jersey, and spray-painted the word “whore” on my bedroom wall. I have also attached a copy of the police report. I know celebrities have obsessed fans, but this person has somehow zeroed in on me as the obstacle to what I can only assume is an imaginary relationship with Mick Sullivan. The police say they have no clues as to who this might be. I am hoping that you might have some information that would help. Thank you for your time.”

Sincerely,

Rachael Allen

Breathing In Reverse is a fast-paced suspenseful thriller with an excellent plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page. There is enough romance, intrigue, and suspense to keep you entertained. I highly recommend this book.
