My Thoughts
Wow, Decker does an excellent job of building tension and increasing it, as the characters are always in danger of being in another life-or-death situation. The flash drive is introduced in the first few pages of the story and immediately sets the protagonist, Matt, on a chase to unravel what is in the flash drive while dodging the antagonist’s henchmen, who are equally eager to get the flash drive from Matt for their boss, the mobster. All the events take place in Turkey, with a unique setting and well-thought-out main characters.
Overall, A. B. Decker’s novel Flowers from the Black Sea is an intense and action-packed drama with some very realistic and tension-fraught scenes that will surely interest fans of Matt Quillan and make them look forward to more of the same. This was my first time reading anything by this author, but I would definitely recommend this book to all thriller lovers.
Thank you to Zoé from ZooLoo’s Book Tours and the author for allowing me to read and review this book.
