My Thoughts

This is about Connie Winchester who was a child musician prodigy and then retired from the public eye. Connie is not ready for an interview with journalist Daniel Layton about her early career and its sudden stop due to a tragedy: She has to confront herself and the life she led, the people, vices, and tragedies that surrounded her. When Connie starts telling Daniel her story, she comes to the realization that she cannot avoid the deceit and betrayal which she thought she had left behind.

A captivating story of fame, wealth, and youth that captures the process of a young actor’s search for redemption in the midst of the consequences of a lost childhood. This pulled at my heartstrings, I felt bad for Connie. It is every bit worth reading if you enjoy books about redemption, as well as those curious about the inner workings of the music world.
