Another who-dunnit featuring one of your favorite Senior sleuths as well as an exciting new installment of The Mystery Book Nook Shared World.
Gladys is head over heels excited for the new community garden project. In fact, she’s created a whole new event: the Community Garden Plant Potluck. The plant potluck is more popular than even she imagined until one of the community garden members is found toes up in the tulips, dead as can be.
Gladys won’t rest until the killer is planted in a jail cell and the Community Garden project is free to grow again. But when clues don’t make sense, she might have to do a little out-of-the-box research using an interesting new resource, The Mystery Book Nook Forum, online.
Don’t miss this fun new adventure with some favorite characters!

Character Guest Post – Gladys
Hey, y’all!
I’m Gladys and I see there is quite the crowd waiting on my new adventure in the latest book from my author, Toes in the Tulips. Either that, or you heard about my brand-new plant potluck idea and came to hear all about it.
Well, you’re in luck. I’ll just tell you about both! There I go getting ahead of myself though. First, a little about me.
I’m once widowed and once divorced but the second guy was a criminal so I’m not really counting the divorce. More like pretending it didn’t happen, if you know what I mean.
I live in Seashell Bay, Alabama and it is the greatest little town. Two things make it great: the beach and the Ooey Gooey Goodness Bakery which happens to be owned by two fabulous friends of mine, even if they are young enough to be my daughters.
Piper and Samantha let me work part-time at the bakery whenever I want, not to mention I’m the official self-appointed taste-tester for new creations. You can read more about all of those aspects of my life in the Ooey Gooey Bakery Mysteries though.
For this particular moment, let me keep telling you about what I’ve been up to lately. Myself and some other members of the town recently started the Seashell Bay Community Garden. It is fabulous! Flowers, herbs and vegetables, even a section of eye-catching cactus. It was such fun seeing all of the plants contributed to the community garden by the board members that I decided we should host a plant potluck for anyone interested. Hold your horses, I can hear you asking what in the world a plant potluck is and I’m getting to that.
My idea for a plant potluck is simple. Instead of food, everyone brings small sprouts or seeds, maybe young plants. We label and display them all nice and neat. Then, everyone gathers a few of everything to take home with them and voila, plant potluck! We all get new varieties for our garden and nobody is out extra money. Pretty cool, huh?
We had a great turnout so I figured it would be a hit. What I didn’t count on was a board member being a hit. As in murdered.
Yep. Seriously.
And wouldn’t you know, I nearly tripped over her in the tulip patch. Dang the luck. Now, the police are painting me as a suspect and things are heating up. But don’t worry. I have a plan!
Come read the book to see how it all works out (or doesn’t) in the end.
See y’all next time!
